Questioni damaged an abusive ex's car and now have 5,000 dollars worth of claims against me. there is the initial claim and then there is a second claim of 800+ in order to cover his rental car while his car was getting fixed. this court matter has been settled. im just not sure of how to handle the insurance company. i have moved and quit my job following this unhealthy relationship and thus am unable to afford this. i do take responsability, however know that if this car wasn't new, the minor damage wouldn't be so exspensive. also, the 800 dollar claim is absurd. i have no damage to my car, nor do i have car insurance. please help!

The $800? Where did that come from? Has his insurance company paid this money and now wants you to pay it back?
