Auto Insurance Claims: car insurance, how to choose insurance

We're shopping around for car insurance.  We don't
need much.   (Local agent and advertising not required)

    No frills.  Can you recommend a company?

  I couldn't.  Not trying to be difficult here, either, I just really can't.  I don't know of any reason to recommend one insurance company over the other.  I would look at the product and buy what I needed from whomever.  Claims are where the value come in, and the claims experience is totally up to individual adjusters.  Whether an adjuster for a company can be reached on the phone and their demeanor on the phone is how I would choose an insurance company.  If I don't like their claims people, I steer clear.
