Auto Insurance Claims: car, mts bus, train city

Question
Why do people insist on buying an expensive car when the insurance is high and one can used MTS?  I do not see the reasons to own a car.  I got a car and MTS bus pass. I do not know what to with my car.

Henry, if you see no reason to own a car, you don't have to own one.  Many people do see reasons to own a car.  For me, I would not be able to get to the grocery store without one because there is no passenger train, city transportation, or taxi within 80 miles of me.
