Auto Insurance Claims: restitution lien, third party insurance, restitution

my name is on the title of my son's car.  He recently was in an accident (not his fault). the insurance is doing repairs not totalling. there is a restitution lien on it. will the check go for the repairs or will the money go to the court?

In many cases a third party insurance company (the company of the at-fault party) will not have any record of liens recorded on a car and will issue the payment directly to the owner. If you filed the claim with the at-fault party, you have a chance that they won't be aware.
