Auto Insurance Claims: auto accident with uninsured motorist, auto accident with uninsured motorist, damages
QuestionMy brother-in-law was driving his cab and t-boned. The at-fault driver is uninsured and his cab co. has a max payout of $30K for injury. He needs surgery totaling 200-300K. Can he use own insurance coverage to cover these costs?
AnswerHello Michelle,
Most likely not. He was working and probably needs a business policy. Auto policies usually excludes, cabs, pizza delivery, paper routes, etc. However, he can file a claim and see where they this would take him. There might be coverage, but generally there is not.
Good Luck
