Auto Insurance Claims: How long does the insurance company have to pay me, full coverage insurance, insurance comapny
QuestionRichard,
My car was in an accident in April of this year. I placed the claim through my full coverage insurance and had the work done My car was out of commission for over two months in that time I racked up quite a bit of rental fees as well as my deductible for my policy. I submitted all of my expenses to the other insurance company for reimbursement and have yet to receive any payment Its been well over 3 Months since I submitted all my info. The accepted liability just have not paid me yet. How long do they have ? I live in Pennsylvania the other insurance company is based out of Nevada.
Thank you
Brian
AnswerIn most states the insurance company has 30 days to either pay or deny the claim. You should send a certified letter to the claims manager of the insurance comapny demanding payment witin 10 days or a written explanation as to why not.
I hope this helps
