QuestionI had a car accident and my car has a lienholder. I am married and the full coverage was in my husband name. Is can i sue my husband insurance if a was injured in the accident? He was the driver, i was the passenger. Also, do lienholders have an insurance coverage themselves that will allow them to file a totaled car as a tax rideoff. this way i won't be responsible for paying off the balance since the car is totaled. Also, what will the lienholder do once they find out it's totaled? What can i expect?
AnswerFirst off, Thank you for your question.
Secondly,,I will need more information from you.
1. What state are you in?
2. Are you listed as a driver on this policy?
3. Who is the lienholder?
If you can get me this information, I will be happy to help you further. Each state is different and so is each lienholder.
Thanks and have Blessed Day!
