Auto Insurance Claims: auto accident, diminished value, wrecker
QuestionI was in an accident last night. A driver rear-ended me and pushed me in to another vehicle. My car had to taken away on a wrecker it is a 2007 dodge. I was just wondering what are the chances of my car being totaled.
AnswerHi Patty,
The determination of totalling the car will only be done after an estimate of the repair cost is made. An insurance company will generally only total a vehicle if the repair cost is more than 75% of it's pre-damage value.
Also remember that you will be entitled to be paid for the diminished value of your vehcle. For more information on diminished value visit www.collisionclaims.com .
I hope this helps
