Do I have to tell my insurance person what I've done with a vehicle I want to drop the insurance on?

Hi Bridgett,

There is no reason I can think of why it would be any business of your insurance agent what you intend to do with a vehicle on which you are canceling insurance.

Tell 'em you are going to cut off the roof and make it into a planter for your back yard and see what she says.  I mean, what if you wanted to string lights thru it and let it sit in your yard----is that any of their business?  

NO--just cancel the insurance, BUT make sure you get a proportional refund if you have paid ahead on the vehicle.
