Auto Insurance Claims: time, state insurance commissioners, auto insurance claim
QuestionHow long should it take to receive payment on an auto insurance claim? Is there a statute of limitations for the insurance company to get it done?
AnswerHi D. Morris,
In most states the insurance company is required to either pay or deny a claim within 30 days. In the case of a theft or vandalism claim that can be extended to 60 days.
If you feel the insurance company is not paying you in a reasonable time period, you should contact your state insurance commissioners office.
I hope this helps
