QuestionOur car was overcharged with freon and it caused the ac to blow hot. It had some pressure removed and the ac clutch will still not engage. The low pressure is reading about 60 and the high pressure is reading just about the same 60 or 70. What do I need to do to get the ac working right once again?
AnswerHi, I might be able to help you narrow this down...
1. Disconnect and reconnect battery and try again. System may be in protect mode from high side pressures exceeding operational limits from overcharging.
2. Do the cooling fans come on (condenser one) when the AC is on?
3. Does the AC button light up?
4. Did the compressor vent refrigerant when it was overcharged?
