QuestionMy alternator overcharged my battery (I've replaced both) but my AC stopped blowing at the same time this happened. Is it possible that the alternator/battery caused the blower motor to burn-out, or is it more likely the wiring? How much might this repair cost, and if I buy the parts, how easy would it be to do it myself?
Thank-you!

AnswerAmanda,
Anything is possible, but it is not very likely. If you had battery alternator problems, I would check the blower motor fuse before anything else. I believe that you will find this to be the fault. If not... you may have a fusible link somewhere in the wiring that blew in order to protect your blower motor/resistor block. If you send me the year/make/model I will look on any wiring diagrams I have, to see if you have one in your system somewhere. Also, please let me know if you have the manual a/c system or the automatic a/c system, this makes some small differences sometimes.
So, as I said, check your fuses first, and if they are good, then I will be more than happy to help you in any way that I can.
I hope this helps a bit. Thank you for the question. If I can do anything furher now or in the future, please le tme know. Good luck in everything.
