Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: Air conditioning works but stops after time, chevy c1500, gm truck

Howdy.  I have a 89 Chevy C1500 with 4.3 liter V6.  The A/C works well for about 20 minutes then the compressor shuts off (but the A/C indicator stays on).  If I trun it off and on, the A/C will restart, but will not work as long.  Eventually, ercycling the A/C will only make the compressor run a couple of minutes.  Any ideas??

Hi John, Common GM truck problem, check the low pressure switch at the accumulator or called the filter drier.This switch has a two wire harness coming off it. Check the harness connection first for poor contacts before changing the switch.
