Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: 1997 Cad Eldo A/C Problem, cadillac eldorado, pressure switches

My 1997 Cadillac Eldorado's Computer system tells me "VERY LOW REFRIGERANT A/C COMPRESSOR OFF"  and it shows it is full of refrigerant (high pressure).

Hello Lonni, That Cadi system is a pretty complicate setup.
As safeguards Cadis have on-line pressure switches that control the compressor actions.There may have been a time when the a/c was on that those switches picked up a low pressure reading and sent a signal to the a/c module or computer to cut the electrical power to the compressor.That computer has a special program that only the dealer or certified a/c specialist can diagnosis and relay the cause of failure to you. A full reading of freon really doesn`t tell much at this time. Have it checked out asap by someone who knows that system inside and out.
