Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: A/c and Heater in a car, selectors, hot air

Hi,

I have a question for you.
Is the A/c and Heater in a car related?  If yes, how are they related.

Can heater in car function with A/c not functioning properly in a car?

Hello Ratnakar, The a/c and heater can function separatly.
There is a blend door that separates the hot air and cold air.If you look at the dash,you`ll see a HOT /COLD selector and that controls the door. The other selectors give you a choice on were you want the air to travel out those vents.
