QuestionMy 1995 Jeep Cherokee has 129,130 miles. I took it in yesterday for an A/C Service Maintenance. This includes... inspecting hoses, fittings, compressor, run performance test, perform leak test, and includes 1 pound of R134 Freon. Everything must have checked out fine because they did not try to charge me for any additional work.
The A/C blows out fairly cool air, however, it is not cold like I've felt in other vehicles. Is there something I can do to increase the “coldness” without taking it in for another service charge?
Thank you very much! Tom Zwingman (Saginaw, MI)
Answeryou ned to have a facility put a set of a/c gages on the system in order to determine what the HIGH and LOW side pressures are doing.
If the pressures are OK, Then you most likely have a problem with the interior under the dash A/C-heater controller damper door of which will require numerous tests to find the exact problem.
