QuestionI have a 2003 GM LTZ Trailblazer(17,000 miles).
The A/C system would cycle on and off, so the dealer replaced a pressure cycling switch which did solve that problem. However, another one has begun.
The A/C system used to get ice cold, before the switch change, now it only gets that cold when I am moving 30mph or faster(when on the freeway it does get ice cold). When I come to a stop, the air is still cool but not the same as when I am moving.
Could the changing of the switch cause this or is this another separate problem?
The dealer tells me the A/C is working OK.
Thank you for your help!
AnswerThe A/C will always blow WARMER when your sitting still vs driving on the highway due to the volume of air that is being pushed thruu the A/C condensor in front of the radiator.
The more air volume coming thru the condensor the more the condensor cools thus the colder air that you get from the A/C vents in the vehicle.
This IS a normal condition.
The ONLY other possible thing that you can do, Unless it already has this option on the vehicle is to install a SECOND electric cooling cooling fan, Unless your vehicle already has 2 fans.
