Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: overheating, overheating car, coolant

Car overheating, thermastat just been replaced, steam coming from radiator, when it cools off should I add water,  

Answer
You need to find out WHERE the coolant WENT and WHY the radiator is LOW before you go adding WATER to the system. Or you can add water AFTER the engine cools off to see if you can see WHERE the coolant WENT originally. Once you have the leak fixed ten add a 50/50 mixture of water and anti-freeze to the system.
