QuestionI have a 99 Chevy Blazer with Computer Climate Control that will not put out any heat. I can turn the control all the way to 82 (max heat) and the blower speed will increase but continues to blow cold air. I have tried it in the Auto setting and by manually selecting an air discharge point. It will kick off the A/C compressor but will not heat up. Please advise
AnswerYou have a tough one to diagnose without me actually having the vehicle in order to prform some test procedures. The most common faults are:
1. Make sure that BOTH heater hoses are HOT to the touch when the engine is at normal operating temperature.
2. You could have a problem in the control panel as there are several test procedures that need to be done on the panel controls.
3. you may have a fault in the AIR TEMP ACTUATOR of which also requires several test procedures.
4. You may have a fault in the DAMPER DOOR control module of which requires testing procedures.
I wish I could give you the answer you are looking for, But without performing all of the required testing that is needed, I would only be guessing as to your EXACT fault.
You are going to need professional diagnostics to find the exact cause.
