Auto Air Conditioning & Heater Repair: AC Noise, buick lesabre, answer asap

I have a 97 Buick Lesabre.When I turn on my AC there is a noise. Kind of like the fan is loud or rattley.  It doesn't happen on vent or heat just AC. Please answer asap I am planning a short road trip and it is too hot not to have air

Without actually having personal access to the vehicle and hearing this noise for myself a diagnosis is very hard to give.

OK, What is the past repair history of the vehicle. I mean any work anywhere that was performed on the vehicle.

Did you first notice the noise after a recent repair was done anywhere on the vehicle and if so, What was the repair that was made.

It couls simply be a vibration from one of the A/C hoses that got moved accidently when you had some work done on the vehicle.

It could be a problem with the clutch on the A/C compressor.
