QuestionHi Bob, I just saw a TV spot that recommended a silicone for reconditioning rubber moldings. I thought silicone was a no-no because of its drying agents and have been looking for silicone free products for my auto care - moldings, car door seals, tires, etc.
AnswerAl,
Pure silicone or a silicone based product could be a problem. However, many of the lubricants and re-conditioners have silicone in them along with plenty of other things.
If what you are buying now works, don't change. If it ain't broken, don't fix it.
