QuestionQUESTION: hi there, i have a 2001 nissan pathfinder, with a cracked front bumper cover. just wondering how i would go about repairing this myself. How do i remove the bumper cover? and am I going to be able to replace the reinforcement behind it if need be? thank you
ANSWER: I believe you have two bolts in the corners to the fender and the rest are plastic retainers. The bumper bar should come off easy. You will probably need a 10mm socket and a trim tool for the retainers.

QUESTION: thank you very much for your response, i've had some difficulty taking out the plastic retainers... any tips on how to remove them easily and how to replace them? Also, is there any way of bending or banging out the bumper bar or should i just simply replace it? thanks again for all the help!!!
Answer Some of these retainers are a one time thing, try a trim tool or a pair of side cutters to pop them out or just cut them and replace them. You should be able to get new ones at your auto body supply store.
The bar is not supposed to be repaired but sometimes you can get away with it if it isn't to bad.
