Auto body repair & detailing: repair fine scratches, 3m rubbing compound, clearcoat
QuestionCan you please repeat what you said in your last email in simpler terms. i am not an expert and therefore not familiar with the terminology you used.
AnswerI apologize, If you get sandpaper that is of 1500 grit, and it is called wet or dry meaning that you can use it with water. Put the sandpaper in water for about 5 minutes. The take a sanding block and block sand the scratches until they are gone. Do not do this too aggressively or you can sand thru the clearcoat. The take a buffer and use 3m rubbing compound at slow speed and slowly work the dull area where you sanded back to a shine. Do not keep the buffer in one spot to long or you can burn the paint. Hope this helps.
