Auto body repair & detailing: carbon fibre repair, polyester resin, epoxy resin

  I would appreciate any help concerning carbon fibre repair on a race car valance (cracks from colision)is it the same procedure as fibre glass?,do i use epoxy resin or polyester resin?,also are there any repair kits available and from who?   thank you in advance.

I believe the best bet would be 3M repair adhesive they have a fine line of repair products. Available at Napa or like competitors. Grind a nice v on both sides of the crack and grind a good 2-3 inches around it fill with adhesive and let dry. It may be necessary to do one side at a time. You should also use a adhesive pmomoter Also available from 3M. It is sandable and paintable just like fiberglass but flexable. Hope this helps.
