Auto body repair & detailing: replacing air bag and front sensor, air bag, steering wheel

Greetings,
I am wanting to tackle replacement of the air bag front sensor and steering wheel air bag.  What needs to be disconnected to make sure I don't deploy the passenger bag?  ANd is the sensor on an 05' Altima easy to get to?  Thanks

Dis-conect the battery and leave it for 15 mins. before trying to work on the car. This allows the back-up power cell time to de-charge. then you may replace the air bag and sensor. The sensor is under the front bumper/radiator supoort area in front of the car.
