Auto body repair & detailing: auto paint, canuba wax, 2005 mazda 6

Question
I have a new 2005 Mazda 6 with a beautiful red metallic finish.  Do you recommend having some type of paint protection product applied to it?  Thank you.

there is no protection that you can get . the stuff the dealer's say are protection they sell you is as follows a kid in the back putting on a good coat of wax.. i have worked for body.and auto shops and dealers for 30 + yrs . trust me when i say good old canuba wax once a month is best..v hope this helps
