No.  It's more evident at the hood because that is the only portion that I have polished.  That is why it is visible there.

If the cracks go all the way to the metal it will be needed to strip the whole hood then refinish. you can try Maaco. but tell them you are a very fussy customer. and want reasurance in writing that they will do a paint job up to your specifications.
