Auto body repair & detailing: Using custom paints, custom paints, car painter

Brian,
I am not a car-painter, but I have been doing industrial painting for 10 years. Now, I want to custom paint my truck, can you help me. I want to know what is the process on how painters use pearl paints to create that flip-flop (when the color changes as the sun hits it) paint effect.

This is an easy one. the material they use is called flop,prizm or pearl you usually mix it with the paint or even better in the clearcoat. It will come in a liquid or dry formula. When you are ready to order your paint ask the supplier how much to put in and at what stage to use.  every ones product is different.
