Auto body repair & detailing: Rust spots, chevy lumina, 1993 chevy lumina
QuestionHi, I just bought a 1993 Chevy Lumina Z34. It's in great condition inside and out, however I have noticed a few rust spots on the rim of the fenders just above the tires and in a couple of other spots. I don't have access to a garage where I can work on the car and it's winter here in the northeast. I'm concerned that if I don't do something immediately with these rust spots that they'll spread and cause serious damage by the time spring comes and it's warm enough to work on it. Is there anything I can do now, myself, or do you recommend going to a body repair shop and letting them handle the rust spots? Thanks in advance for your time and expertise.
AnswerGina,
Hello. Considering you live in the northeast where we usually have a good bit of snow during the winter which results in a great deal of salting the roads, we would advise you to take your vehicle to a good body repair shop as soon as possible to avoid a much larger repair bill come spring.
Thank you,
