Auto Glass: auto glass sizes, GLASS IDENTIFICATION BY SIZES
QuestionHi. I have some older auto glass that is some what marked as to what it is, but does not say if its a windshield or a back glass. I have been trying to find some where on the internet that would be able to tell me, but cant find anything. Would you happen to know a site that can tell me what the sizes are so i can figure out which ones I have. The glass is mostly from the '70's. Thank you, Angie.
AnswerHi Angie,
There is a publication that has the Block sizes for each specific window ever made according to Year, Make , Model. I would go to library and ask for ( National Auto Glass Specifications ) or Nags for short, catalog and look it up. 1970-80 Block sizes are (the height and width of the window).
Now if you only have a couple of windows you can E-mail me pictures of the glass and include the Block sizes with any and all markings like LOF PPG or Carlite Ect.. and any numbers on the glass.
I will find out what cars they are for. The more information you can provide on them the easier it is to identify them.
