Auto Glass: Sunroof main seal on glass replacement, Sunroof

The main seal on the glass of my 1995 Honda civic sunroof needs replacing. It appears there is a black silicone or urethane adhesive with which I am fighting. How and what do I do??

              I have never worked on this sunroof and do not know
