Auto Parts: 88 nissan pulsare se driver side axlwe, cv joint replacement, axle assembly

Hello, I am trying to find a replacement driverside axle & cv joint replacement. I have a nissan pt# 3910165A10.I have ordered a replacement form autoartswarehouse.com & napa they have each supplied the same part which is different then the one that I removed from the vehicle.The new ones are about an inch longer and the shaft that goes into the transaxle is different. Are you aware of there being more then one shaft type for the same model car? Do you know of any place a pt# might be stamped on the axle assembly? Thank You

Sometimes, from one model year to another some parts change and some do not.  Those parts kind of "fly under the radar", and the part numbers don't match up.  I'm not saying this is your specific problem, but it may be worth a try.  Try seeing if the part numbers are the same or different, up and down one model year from yours.
