Car Alarms: after market alarm

I installed an after market alarm installed in my 1999 ford expidition  a nd the brain clicks when a button on the lcd is pressed but wont always unlock or lock the door and doesnt arm the alarm. Also the lcd keeps saying out of range even when next to the antenna.

Needs to be re-installed. Sounds like the locks are incorrectly done, and possibly the power/ground and others. Without inspection, hard to pin point it.
