Car Alarms: Car Alarm remote issues

I have an Astra 777 alarm system on my truck and recently my remote has been acting up. The LED light on the remote keeps blinking nonstop and the remote seems to only work sporadically.

Well, either remove the battery, take it apart and clean the contacts and
re try.

If no joy, they run 65.00 for the 2 way remote, including S&H.
