QuestionI have a 97 Chrysler Concorde with a factory alarm. Here is what happened in a nut shell. I used my remote to open the trunk. I got what I needed, closed the trunk. I then went to unlock the drivers side door (with remote) on nothing happened. I changed batteries in remote. Nothing! I keyed the both doors. Nothing! I tried the trunk again. Nothing! I got in the drivers side door and tried to start the car and the alarm went and my engine dead. I have tried all the things I found online but I am not sure what I am doing. HELP!!!
AnswerPlease be more descriptive if possible.
"GOING OFF?"
I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.
Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET
Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
