Car Alarms: prime security wiring diagram, shock sensor, pin switch
QuestionI recently purchased a 1979 Porsche with a Prime Security AMX77 Mark 3 alarm system. The system is deactivated but I would like to use the remotes for aftermarket door actuators. Do you have a wiring diagram for this system? I am not interested in using the alarm system just the ability to remotely lock and unlock the doors. Thanks. Mike
Answer
doing door actuators car alarms
No it's an older system and I don't have the notes on it.
But if installed now, simply cut the door trigger wire going to
the dome light/door pin switch from the alarm and the siren.
(if it has a shock sensor, unplug it) and then you have
the keyless entry you wanted.
See the attached file for a generic alarm to help you
figure it out.
Good luck.
