Car Alarms: remote start problem, remote start, toggle switch

Question
i have a viper 5902 alarm with remote start. if i use the remote start, when i put the key in and press the brake the alarm doesnt stop the remote start. i can turn the car off and remove the key but the engine keeps running. i drovethe car for awhile and it still didnt turn off. the only way to turn thecar off was to either press the remote start button on the remote or turn the remote start off by the toggle switch. can you help me figure this out? thanks
