Car Alarms: Sidewinder 6500 esp, mazda 3, toggle switch

Question
We recently purchased a Mazda 3 and there is a toggle switch with a small black button above the switch and they are under the dash and the black and grey wire go to the Sidewinder box but nothing changes if the switch is on or off. Also you can push the button and nothing changes then. Is that enough info to guess at what the switch and button are for?
