Car Alarms: Rattler Car alarm, rattler car alarm, toyota corolla

The other day my car was running fine.  The next day I went out to start my 2001 Toyota Corolla and it wouldn't start.  The alarm light was flashing, the dash lights and taillights were flashing. The alarm box was ticking under the dash. Pulled the box out of the dash, disconnected the main plug, car still won't start.
