Car Alarms: Power lock quite working, keyhole, alarm systems

Camry 2000-- I was in the process of programming a second keyless remote I purchased online. After the third tried, partway in the process, I set off the alarm. Normally, when the alarm goes off, I turn the ignition to "on" and that would turn the alarm off. This time it wouldn't stop or start the car. I was able to turn the alarm off by putting the key in the door keyhole and turning it to the right. Now I can start the car but the power lock doesn't work. The original keyless remote wont work either. Did I somehow disable the alarm? If so how do I enable it again?
