Car Alarms: loctronics anti theft system, alarmtek, battery cables

Question
I have a 1992 mustang 5.0 lx with a loctronics anti theft plug in.
Replaced battery, reconnected the cables and the alarm went off. Have to disconnect battery cables to turn off alarm. How do I get the alarm to shut off? Thanks.
