Car Alarms: How to turn alarm off, alarmtek, scion xb

I accidentally left my keys in my car - 2006 Scion XB - I called for help, someone from the company came and opened the side door of the car. the alarm turned on and could not stop it no matter what I did, also the car wont start, so I just unplugged a little wire from the car which stopped the alarm and I was able to start the car. But if I plug the wire again, the alarm starts again. Please help.

Please be more descriptive if possible.

"GOING OFF?"

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
(doubtfull since none of the notes show this
car as having a factory alarm system)=FACTORY

Or,

is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?= AFTER MARKET

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take.
