Car Alarms: VW Polo alarm, vw polo, override switch

HI,
I have a 2002 VW Polo fitted with an Auto Watch alarm and immobiliser. When I turn on the ignition the alarm goes off and the engine doesn't turn over. The remote is working fine. I also cannot locate any override switch. What could the problem be?
