Car Alarms: 1997 F-150, fcc id, 12 volt
QuestionMy fathers F-150 was passed down to me when he passed away. The truck is in excellent condition but it had been sitting there for 5 months and the battery was dead, so I had to replace it. There is a remote on the keychain and I was told that the remote needs batteries. So I went out and bought batteries for it and the alarm is not working when I try to arm it. Did I deactivate the alarm when I switched out the batteries on either the truck or the remote? If so how can I get this alarm working again? The alarm has a name on the front SECURITY GEAR and the back says 1989 RABBIT SYSTEMS INC. FCC ID: EN5RMTSB2000 I appreciate any help with this. Thank you
