Car Alarms: 2002 BMW 3 Series alarm, bmw 3 series, 2002 bmw 325i

Hi

Please help me if you can with the following problem.  My 2002 BMW 325i SE has a problem with its alarm whereby it goes off in sunlight.  It will not happen in non bright conditions.  Is there a known issue, or a particular sensor that may need adjusting/replacing?  Please help.
