when i push my buttons on my remote my truck cranks over but does't start up. it tries 3 times but does't start. is my receiver bad? help!

Depending on the car, and how it was wired.
You could need a bypass kit (www.bypassmodules.com)
or, you may not have it wired correctly.

Hard to say without inspection.

I would begin by going back over the wiring and programming
info for your remote starter to get it right.
