Car Alarms: Alarm LED under dashboard pushed, start the car, chirp

My sister didn't know what the LED under the dashboard was and she pushed it and now when I am locking or unlocking it, it doesn't sound or chirp at all but it still does unlock and lock. I need to know what I should do, please.

Make sure you do the procedure correctly.
Might have missed a step:

PUT IGNITION KEY IN IGNITION,
KEY ON TO JUST BEFORE CRANKING THE ENGINE.
PRESS IN AND HOLD VALET SWITCH
UNTIL YOU GET A RESPONSE
FROM THE ALARM.

KEY OFF.
START THE CAR.
