Car Alarms: 2003 Chevy Tahoe stock alarm, chevy tahoe, 2003 chevy tahoe

I've got a 2003 Chevy Tahoe with a stock alarm.  When pressing the lock button on the remote fob, it is supposed to lock the doors, then if I press it again it is supposed to sound the horn if all the doors are closed.  This is how it usually acts.

Lately, when I press the button the first time, it locks AND sounds the horn.  If I press it again, it sounds the horn twice.  Seems I've read something somewhere about troubleshooting multiple honks, but I don't see anything in the owner's manual.  Any ideas?

If yours is indeed a factory system,
