Car Alarms: arming and disarming, passive mode, dome light

I bought an alarm kit off ebay recently.  For the most part I got it hooked up.  I am now able to arm and disarm the alarm.  The only problem is...after disarming the alarm, it automatically arms itself 30 seconds after disarming.  Any idea why?

Well, I'd say check the manual for passive and active arming,
and go into active mode.

Being in passive mode means when the last door
is closed and the dome light goes out,
the alarm will arm itself within 30 seconds.

Active mode means YOU have to press the arm/lock button to
make it so.

Your alarm should have a way to toggle between the 2 modes

Look into the feature settings.
