QuestionWe bought a used Chevy Silverado in 2007. It already had a Hornet after market car alarm installed on it. Two days ago, I tried to use the truck to jumpstart another car. Upon connecting the jumper cables, the alarm began to go off. I hit both buttons on the key fob repeatedly to stop the alarm, and then I removed the jumper cables. Once the alarm stopped, I tried to start the truck and it had no response from any of the systems. The lights won't even turn on. I located the valet/override switch thinking that the alarm might have disarmed the battery, but after multiple attempts to reset the system ( including while having it hooked up to a portable jumpstart) I am still not getting anything from the truck. Is there anything I can do myself to fix this?
